Rain Barrel Workshop

Why Host a Rain Barrel Workshop?

By hosting a rain barrel workshop, your organization is helping to protect our streams and rivers from pollution!  Water stored in a rain barrel and used for irrigation is water that won't rush off and carry pollutants into our streams and rivers!

Those that participate in your workshop will not only be helping our local waterways but will benefit from installing a rain barrel at their home by:

  • Reducing flooding in their yards or basements, by collecting the water and using it for watering plants, slowly releasing it and allwoing it to sink into the ground
  • Save money and water.  Instead of water from the tap, participants will be able to use the water they've saved to keep their landscape healthy - reducing their water bill!
