Shoreline Habitat Restoration In 2010 the Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance offered a Shoreline Habitat Restoration program for property owners on Beaulieu, Koonz and Big Lakes. This year's restoration projects have only been possible with support from:
The purpose of this program is to improve water quality, wildlife and fish habitat by revegetating areas susceptible to erosion along the lakeshore and in the littoral zone (shallow water area) of the lake with native vegetation and making the area a no-mow zone.
Property owners who are interested in participating will receive free guidance from FWWA and free seeds/plant plugs. If you are interested in more detailed information on this program, please contact Janelle Merry
