The Third Annual AIS Bridge Snapshot Day was held on Sept. 10th.  Teams of volunteers set out from Appleton, Chilton, Fond du Lac and Winneconne between thunderstorms to look for new aquatic invasive species.  There were sixty participants monitoring at forty seven sites throughout the Winnebago system.  Though the participants returned with zebra mussels, Eurasian water milfoil, and both faucet and mystery snails, no new AIS were found.

The rain may have hampered our ability to get to as many sites as in previous years, but it didn’t hamper our fun!  A good time was had by all.

Thanks to all the volunteers!
